Peak migration times, like September and October, are the perfect times to experience the Great River Birding Trail, which covers much of Lake Country and Minnesota. The Audubon Society has produced a detailed map of Upper Mississippi River birding sites, which is available by calling (651) 290-1695 or sending an e-mail request to dmcguiness@audubon.org.
