Think Green!

CLC celebrates Earth Day 2010.
The earth reflected in a drop of water.

In collaboration with their "CLC Green Team," students in Gary Carson's Introduction to Environmental Studies class and the student Green Club are coordinating a free public event, the "Earth Day Celebration and Green Expo," Thursday, April 22.

The event will include an a "green jobs" fair and a panel of green industry experts and representatives of environmental agencies, moderated by Cheryal Hills, executive director of Region Five Development Commission. Attendees will hear the " State of the State's Green Initiatives" to learn where Minnesota stands, and have a chance to browse demonstrations and information stations inside and outside (weather permitting).

All events will be hosted at the Brainerd campus. The event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with the panel discussion from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a question and answer session.

Exhibitors who wish to participate should contact Bob Hanson, (218) 855-8194 or bhanson@clcmn.edu to reserve a space.

Join the students who are learing how to think, live, and work "green"—and keep Lake Country healthy and beautiful now and into the future.
