Where Do You Like to Nosh? >
Tell us and you could win $25.

To nosh is to eat food enthusiastically, and who doesn't like to do that? But as writer Heidi Holtan notes in the May/June issue of LCJM, noshing is also about eating consciously. It's about good food and good company, ambience and ingredients.
We'd like to know your favorite place to nosh in Lake Country. It can be fine dining or a simple roadside stop. Maybe it's your local café where the lemon meringue pie is perfection and the gossip delicious. Or that upscale, lakeside restaurant where the fried walleye is not necessarily memorable, but the sunsets are.
We're not asking you to be a food critic, but we would like you to be descriptive. You have our permission to be creative, as long as you're factual. If you love a place primarily because of the hand-painted murals on the wall (and they just happen to serve a great cup of coffee), great. Just tell us the name of the place and describe the murals for us. Our imaginations will do the rest.
The winning entry will be chosen by Lake Country Journal Magazine staff and the winner will receive $25 to use at the dining spot of his or her choice. There are two ways to submit your entry. You can click on the "add a new comment" link at the end of this blog or send me an e-mail at kayleen@evergreenpress.net. The deadline is June 20.
In the meantime, happy noshing!
