To nosh is to eat food enthusiastically and, as writer Heidi Holtan notes in the May/June issue of LCJM, noshing is also about good company and ambience. And that's what our winner, Annette Powell, discovered at a bar and grill near Park Rapids.

Annette writes: "I get to enjoy Lake Country one week out of the year! During that week we take a day and go shopping in Park Rapids—the girls in one car, the guys in another. There is never a question where we are going to meet for lunch! The Royal Bar! The coldest beer and the best burgers ever! We love the atmosphere . . . very laid back. Your eyes meander around constantly, right to left and floor to ceiling . . . funny sayings, funny photos, cool airplanes, and boats."

Way to go, Annette! That's just what we were seeking in our "Where do you like to nosh?" online contest. Annette won our $25 prize and maybe she'll use it to enjoy something special during this year's sojourn to Lake Country.
